Dzeko

Dzeko

Dzeko (born Julian Dzeko) is an EDM producer and DJ from Toronto, Canada who’s colorful palette of emphatic and passionate music has resonated with the global community. This skyrocketing artist’s initial upswing is credited to a relentless work ethic and an appetite for adventure.

First landing under the microscope of the EDM world as part of the duo Dzeko & Torres, Dzeko uncovered a passion for producing and djing at the age of 14. Meeting his compatriot in 2006, the pair took notice of the nuances for performance and gained direct supports from the likes of Chuckie, DJ Ruckus, Tiësto and Steve Aoki.

Building a robust catalogue of energetic and bold electro house anthems, their tracks like ‘Air’ Feat. Delaney Jane [Musical Freedom], ‘For You’ w/ Maestro Harrel Feat. Delora [Musical Freedom] and ‘L’amour Toujours’ (Tiësto Edit) [Spinnin] shook speakers at the grandest music festivals worldwide. ‘L’amour Toujours’ plowed through the Billboard dance charts, ranked #1 overall and under electro designation on Beatport, and #1 on iTunes in several European markets, gaining a gold record in Sweden and over 60-million plays total.

2017 marked a turning point for Julian. Although he'd continue to work with his partner Luis Torres, Dzeko embarked on his debut year as a solo performer.  With performances at Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld, Creamfields, Coachella, Veld Music Festival and the main stage of Ultra Music Festival in the peripheral, Julian proceeded to collaborate frequently with his childhood idol, Tiësto.

While keeping a finger on the pulse of what is current, Dzeko continues to administer fans with heaps of new music and polished remixes. Under the Dzeko pseudonym, Julian graced listeners with his first solo single in December 2016, ‘Liberty.’ Arriving courtesy of Tiësto's Musical Freedom, the emancipation-themed song tossed fans off the edge of their seats and into a spirited shuffle.

In March of 2017, Dzeko delivered his rendition of The Chainsmokers’ and Coldplay’s preeminent radio hit, ‘Something Just Like This.’ Heading into the spring, Dzeko reimagined Post Malone’s ‘Congratulations’ with some textured synths and amplified percussion in remix format. Remixing one of the year’s biggest tracks lead to unanimous support from renown musicians like Martin Garrix as well as Tiësto (a contributor to the release). Doubling down, the combo of Tiësto and Dzeko turned French Montana’s hit ‘Unforgettable’ upside down for a seriously house-y remix via the AFTRHRS imprint gaining 8-million plays.

In May 2017, Dzeko rolled out 'Fluxland 2017' [Musical Freedom], a melody-driven deep house beat just in time for the summer heat.  A month later, Spinnin welcomed Dzeko's undisputed summer hit ‘California’ featuring Brynn Elliott's soothing seasonal vocals. The official music video tallied over 3.5-million views. In August, the Canadian producer released ‘Heart Speak’ [Spinnin] with vocalist TOKA-J, a future bass love ballad befitting of the warm and tender weather.

Towards the end of 2017, Dzeko branched out to new genres and soundscapes by collaborating with fellow Toronto native and OVO signee Roy Wood$ on the rapper’s debut studio album. Dzeko produced the fifth track of the “Say Less” album, titled “Something New”. This is just the first of more cross-over genre collaborations that Dzeko has coming up in the near future.

Leading into 2018 and beyond, Dzeko has been conquering Las Vegas as a staple of Hakkasan and Wet Republic respectively. Shining bright in the spotlight of North America’s entertainment capital, this Canadian EDM heavyweight continues to climb charts while packing audio ammunition for his next global tour.
